WP1 – Energy Systems Integration

Activities of the WP include:

  • modeling and simulation of buildings and energy systems of the analyzed communities;
  • designing and conducting a serious game for the evaluation of user trade-offs between comfort and energy saving;
  • development of a code for the optimal sizing and management of renewable energy and storage systems for net zero energy buildings;
  • experimental validation of the identified solutions by the building emulator and energy integration hardware-in-the-loop system.
This WP is led by Daniele Testi. It includes 14 faculty members and several PhD and post-doc students from the following departments:
